What is banana ketchup?
Born in the Philippines, banana ketchup is a sweet, tangy, and lightly spiced condiment made with mashed bananas, sugar, vinegar, and spices.
It was created as a clever twist during a tomato shortage and became a national staple, found on everything from fried chicken to barbecue skewers.At Pinoy Boi, we’ve taken the heart of the Philippines’ favorite condiment and given it a bold American twist.
Traditional banana ketchup skips the tomatoes; ours brings them back, adding richness, balance, and a flavor that bridges east and west.
Layered with a mix of spices that add depth and just the right amount of kick, it’s sweet, tangy, and unapologetically flavorful: a modern take on a Filipino classic.
What's inside?
Water, bell peppers, banana purée (banana, citric acid, ascorbic acid), yellow onions, white vinegar, seasoned rice vinegar, tomato paste, brown sugar, arrowroot powder, salt, spices.Every bottle is currently small-batch blended and made with honest ingredients you can actually pronounce.
